This carefully designed 15-day Everest Base Camp Trek combines breathtaking mountain scenery, rich Sherpa heritage, and well-planned acclimatization, making it one of the best trekking experiences in Nepal.

Your journey begins with the spectacular flight to Lukla (2,860m), the gateway to the Everest region. From here, you'll follow the legendary trail through charming Sherpa villages, ancient monasteries, dramatic suspension bridges, and the pristine wilderness of Sagarmatha National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Every day reveals unforgettable landscapes shaped by towering peaks, glaciers, alpine forests, and crystal-clear mountain rivers.

The trek passes through the vibrant mountain hub of Namche Bazaar, the spiritual village of Tengboche, and the scenic settlements of Dingboche, Lobuche, and Gorakshep, each offering incredible views of the Himalayas. Along the way, you'll witness some of Nepal's most iconic mountains, including Mount Everest (8,848.86m), Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Pumori, Thamserku, and Khumbutse, creating unforgettable panoramic vistas throughout the journey.

The ultimate achievement is reaching Everest Base Camp (5,364m), where climbers from around the globe prepare for their summit attempts. You'll also ascend Kala Patthar (5,545m), the highest viewpoint of the trek, where breathtaking sunrise views over Mount Everest and the surrounding Himalayan giants create memories that last a lifetime.

More than just a mountain adventure, this trek offers a genuine cultural immersion into the heart of the Khumbu region. Discover centuries-old Buddhist monasteries, colorful prayer flags fluttering across suspension bridges, spinning prayer wheels, and the warm hospitality of the Sherpa people. Nature enthusiasts may also spot Himalayan wildlife such as the Himalayan tahr, musk deer, Himalayan monal, and other alpine species that thrive in this remarkable mountain environment.

Our itinerary emphasizes safety, comfort, and enjoyment through carefully scheduled acclimatization days, experienced local guides, quality mountain lodges, and personalized support throughout the trek. Whether you're an experienced hiker or embarking on your first Himalayan expedition, this journey provides the ideal balance of adventure, culture, and comfort.

Important Details

Lukla Information

Flights to and from Lukla are subject to mountain weather conditions, and occasional delays or cancellations are part of flying in the Himalayas. To provide greater peace of mind, we highly recommend allowing at least two additional days at the end of your journey before your international departure. This flexibility helps ensure that any weather-related flight changes do not affect your onward travel plans. During the peak trekking seasons (March, April, May, October, and November), Lukla flights are commonly operated from Ramechhap (Manthali Airport) due to air traffic restrictions at Kathmandu's Tribhuvan International Airport. Travelers departing from Kathmandu are typically required to leave around 1:00 AM for a 5-hour drive to Ramechhap in order to catch the early morning flight. To enhance your comfort and eliminate the inconvenience of an overnight road transfer, this premium itinerary includes a comfortable overnight stay in Ramechhap before your flight to Lukla. This thoughtful arrangement allows you to enjoy a restful evening, wake refreshed, and begin your Everest adventure in a relaxed and stress-free manner. During the off-season, when flights operate directly from Kathmandu, the itinerary will be adjusted accordingly, providing an even more convenient start to your journey. Our priority is to ensure a seamless, comfortable, and well-planned travel experience, allowing you to focus entirely on the spectacular adventure that awaits in the Everest region.

A Typical Day on the Everest Base Camp Trek

Each day on the Everest Base Camp Trek offers breathtaking mountain scenery, authentic Sherpa culture, and unforgettable trekking experiences. After a hearty breakfast, you'll begin the day's hike between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM, accompanied by your experienced guide, who will share insights into the region's history, culture, and surrounding Himalayan peaks. Our porters carry your main luggage, allowing you to trek comfortably with only a light daypack. After 3 to 4 hours of walking, you'll stop for lunch at a mountain lodge before continuing for another 2 to 3 hours to your overnight destination. Upon arrival, you can relax, explore the village, or simply enjoy the stunning Himalayan views. Dinner is served between 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM, followed by a briefing on the next day's adventure. The evening is yours to unwind, socialize, or rest in preparation for another incredible day in the Everest region

Food in the mountains

Your trekking package includes daily breakfast, lunch, dinner, and up to three cups of tea or coffee throughout the trek, while your stay in Kathmandu is on a bed and breakfast basis. Mountain tea houses serve a variety of freshly prepared meals, allowing you to choose dishes that suit your preferences. Additional snacks and beverages can be purchased separately. To maintain your energy at high altitude, we recommend enjoying freshly cooked, nutritious meals and staying well hydrated throughout your Everest Base Camp adventure.

Water

Safe drinking water is readily available throughout the Everest Base Camp Trek. Bottled water, boiled water, and filtered water can be purchased at most tea houses along the trail. To help reduce plastic waste and protect the fragile Himalayan environment, we recommend carrying a reusable water bottle and using water purification tablets or a personal water filter when needed.

Tipping

Tipping is not included in the trek cost but is a valued way of showing appreciation for the dedication and service of your trekking crew. While entirely voluntary, it is customary in Nepal to present tips at the end of the trek, usually as a group.
