Important Details

Accommodation

Accommodation along the Gosaikunda route (Langtang region, Nepal) is mainly basic tea house and lodge-style. Expect simple rooms with shared facilities, minimal bedding, and limited heating. Comfort varies by altitude—lower villages have slightly better lodges, while higher sections near Gosaikunda are more rustic with very basic shelter due to the remote alpine environment.

Food

Food along the Gosaikunda route is served in simple teahouses and is basic but filling. You can expect typical trekking meals like dal bhat (rice, lentils, vegetables), noodles, pasta, potatoes, soups, eggs, bread, and tea/coffee. As you go higher, options become more limited, but meals are prepared to provide enough energy for high-altitude trekking.

Water

Water along the Gosaikunda route is available from local taps, springs, and lodges, but it is not always treated or safe to drink directly. Trekkers are strongly advised to use purification tablets, filters, or boiled water to stay safe, especially at higher altitudes where facilities are more limited.

Toilet

Toilets along the Gosaikunda route are very basic and limited. In lower villages, you may find simple shared toilets at teahouses, while in higher areas they are often pit-style or improvised facilities with minimal hygiene standards. Trekkers should be prepared for rustic conditions throughout the route.

Acclimatisation

Acclimatize at Cholangpati before crossing above 4,700 m, taking time to adjust to the altitude through light activity, good hydration, and proper rest. This helps ensure everyone is well-prepared and reduces the risk of altitude-related issues for the higher sections ahead.

Heli-Evac

Heli-evacuation in case of emergency will be arranged based on the situation and as per the plan

Sat - Comms

Communication is available in most locations along the route, allowing contact with our base in Kathmandu, though signal may be limited or unstable in higher and remote sections.
