Important Details

Accommodation

Gonga Bhanjyang is very basic and limited. Expect simple tea house or hut-style lodging with shared rooms, minimal bedding, and no heating. Facilities are basic, and comfort is limited due to the remote, high-altitude setting.

Food and Pack Lunch

At Gonga Bhanjyang, food is simple and locally prepared—typically dal bhat, noodles, soups, eggs, and basic tea. Options are limited due to the remote location, but meals are warm and filling. For the crossing of Singla Pass, a packed lunch is arranged in advance—usually including items like boiled eggs, chapati or bread, potatoes, seasonal fruits, and snacks. It’s designed to be lightweight, energy-rich, and easy to carry during the high-altitude trek.

Water

Water at Gonga Bhanjyang and along the trail is sourced locally and may not always be treated or filtered. If you are not used to tap or natural water, we recommend using water purification tablets or other treatment methods for safety during the trek.

Toilet

Toilets at Gonga Bhanjyang are very basic and limited, typically simple pit-style or shared facilities with minimal maintenance. Expect no modern sanitation or comfort amenities, so trekkers should be prepared for a remote, rustic setup.

Acclimatisation

The team will acclimatize at Gonga Bhanjyang before crossing above 4,000 m—spending time here to adjust to altitude, doing light activity, staying well-hydrated, and ensuring everyone is prepared for the higher elevation ahead.

Heli-Evac

Heli-evacuation in case of emergency will be arranged based on the situation and as per the plan

Sat-Comms

Garmin InReach tracking for every lead guide and timing station.
