Rashila Tamang
co- founderRashila Tamang – Trail Runner, Environmental Advocate, and Outdoor Leader from Nepal
I am Rashila Tamang, a trail runner, environmental advocate, and outdoor leader from Nepal. Born and raised in Dhunibesi Municipality–02, Dhading, I have dedicated my life to exploring the mountains, promoting sustainable outdoor tourism, and inspiring people to connect with nature through adventure.
As the Co-Founder of Trailmandu Nepal Pvt. Ltd., I play a key role in developing trail running, fastpacking, trekking, and outdoor adventure experiences across Nepal. Through Trailmandu, I work to create opportunities for local athletes, guides, and outdoor enthusiasts while promoting responsible tourism that benefits both communities and the environment. My vision is to establish Nepal as a world-class destination not only for trekking but also for trail running and fastpacking.
My journey in trail running began with a simple passion for the mountains and a desire to challenge myself. Over the years, I have participated in and won numerous national and international trail races, proudly representing Nepal on the global stage. One of the most significant milestones in my career was becoming the Asia Trail Master Champion, a title that reflects years of dedication, perseverance, and hard work. Through my achievements, I hope to inspire more women and young athletes to pursue their dreams and discover the power of outdoor sports.
Beyond racing, I am deeply committed to environmental conservation. I believe that the trails, forests, and mountains that give us so much joy and opportunity must be protected for future generations. This belief inspired me to launch community-based tree planting initiatives in my hometown. Through these efforts, more than 5,000 fruit trees have been planted in Dhunibesi–02, helping improve local biodiversity, support livelihoods, and contribute to climate resilience. My goal is to expand this project to other regions of Nepal and encourage more communities to participate in environmental stewardship. i have partner with Nepal evergreen for the envirenment conservation.
I regularly use trail running as a platform to promote conservation, climate responsibility, and sustainable outdoor practices. Whether through community events, awareness campaigns, or educational programs, I encourage people to respect nature, reduce environmental impact, and embrace the principles of responsible adventure.
I am also proud to serve as the Ambassador of the Manjushree Trail Race, one of Nepal’s most iconic trail running events. In this role, I represent the spirit of adventure, resilience, and community that defines the race. I work closely with runners, organizers, and local communities to promote inclusive participation and strengthen Nepal’s trail running culture. Supporting new runners, especially women, is one of my greatest passions because I believe outdoor sports can empower individuals and transform communities.
My mission goes far beyond winning races. I want to create a lasting impact by combining sport, environmental action, and community development. Through every trail I run, every tree I plant, and every athlete I encourage, I strive to contribute to a healthier environment, stronger communities, and a brighter future for outdoor sports in Nepal.
Today, I continue to advocate for nature protection, women's participation in adventure sports, and Nepal’s recognition as a global destination for trail running, fastpacking, and sustainable tourism. My journey is driven by a simple belief: when we protect nature and inspire people to explore it responsibly, we create positive change that extends far beyond the trail.

Jeevan Lama
co- founderI was born and raised in Kathmandu Valley. As a child I always used to be a bit more active and passionate about sports and outdoor activities. But unfortunately growing up as a teenager things took a bad turn for me and I got into drug addiction. For years I spent in recovery and tried really hard to bring my life back to track. During this period I even tried my luck living abroad for a few years. In 2018, I finally decided to come back to Nepal and start a new life and to follow my childhood dream. I wanted to get back to my passion and wanted to do what I loved the most: outdoor sports. At first I started running around a bit and then slowly started exploring the nearby hills. I started participating in local races and then into various National and International Level Trail Races. Then due my passion and love for the sport, I slowly started winning medals and prizes too in many National and International Level Trail Races. And when I was not running or participating in races, I also started working as a freelance running guide, a photographer and as well as a videographer in various trail races & events.
