Trek Overview
The Langtang Valley Trek ranks among Nepal's finest Himalayan adventures, pairing dramatic mountain scenery with rich Tamang heritage and centuries-old Buddhist culture. Set inside Langtang National Park just north of Kathmandu near the Tibetan border, this region delivers the beauty of the high Himalaya without the heavy foot traffic of the Everest or Annapurna trails.
Designed by Trailmandu Nepal, the route follows the Langtang River through rhododendron forest, bamboo groves, and traditional villages before climbing into alpine meadows and glacial terrain toward Kyanjin Gompa (3,870m). From this scenic base surrounded by peaks, glaciers, and yak pasture, trekkers acclimatize and then push higher to two outstanding viewpoints: Kyanjin Ri (4,773m) and Tserko Ri (5,033m).
