Overview:
Long Trail 25km
The KVR (Kathmandu Valley Rim) Summit Challenge #2 is a 25-kilometer trail race starting from Suryachaur, north of Kathmandu. The route begins on a 3-kilometer jeep track with scenic views, then transitions to a challenging single trail with long, ascending stairs. After approximately 9 kilometers, participants reach a hydration point before a steep and technical climb to the summit of Shivapuri Peak. From the peak, runners descend back to the hydration point, then take a right left onto a new, undulating trail. This section features dense forests, waterfalls, and technical terrain, leading to Checkpoint 2 at Dada Gaun. The final leg follows a jeep track to the village of Gurje and then retraces the same path back to the finish line at Suryachaur, completing a rewarding loop.
Short Trail 10km
This is short fun hike/run for the beginners, and it will start and finish in same place which will be running around Suryachaur which will cover the village with beautiful mountain panorama. this stage will be slightly short but more fun route for the fun run. The race will be starting in 15KM away from Kathmandu and it will be roughly 30-40 minutes and last 1km is only drivable with good offroad jeeps and might have to hike 2km from main road which we will be updating according to weather.
